Dennis Keith

Dennis Denton Keith, 82, of Pryor, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home. He was born on December 6, 1934 in Kansas, Oklahoma; the son of W.B. and Stella (Harp) Keith. He married Georgia Fryer on May 28, 1955 in Pryor, Oklahoma and they were married 61 wonderful years. He worked for Midwest Carbide and after 42 years, he retired. Dennis was the former president for the Little League Baseball and Pryor Booster Club and Sports. He enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and was still an active member of American Legion Baseball. Dennis loved life and enjoyed taking care of his lawn, his huge garden, and traveling. One of his favorite past times was watching Connors State Baseball but most of all he loved anything he could do with his family. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Pryor, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery. Casket bearers will be David Hatfield, Buddy Holman, Tim Thompson, Doug Bailey, Terry Cooper, Clifford Gann and Kurt Schultz. Honorary casket bearers, L.A. Proctor, Tony Smith, Jack Webster, Phil Ross, Bobby Foreman, Bill Smith, Biff Thompson, Dr. Ron Ramming, Mickey Holloway and the Donut Shop crew. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in the Shipman's Chapel. In Lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the: Connors State Baseball Foundation at 700 College Road, Warner, Oklahoma 74469. Dennis is survived by his wife, Georgia Keith; son, Perry Keith and Wife Sheri of Warner, Oklahoma; grandson, Korey Wayne Keith of Warner; granddaughter, Heather Lee Keith of Warner; great granddaughter, Kaizlei Lee Keith of Warner; sister, Betty Hammack of Kennewick, Washington; He is preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Stella Keith; sisters, Barbara Brown, Billie Lee Austin, Clara Imogene McAlester; brothers, Virgil Dale Keith, Roy Keith, W.B. Jr. (Dub) Keith, Charles Franklin Keith and Gary Warren Keith.
