Howard Tindell

Howard Tindell, 88, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his home. He was born on July 29, 1923 in Sacville, Missouri, the son of Walter J. Tindell and Elva M. (Pickerel) Tindell. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army. Howard married Arvilla Ford on July 7, 1946 in Oshkosh, Nebraska. He retired in 1985 from Grand Valley Hospital. Howard loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and loved his church family. Howard dearly loved his family and the time spent with each of them. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 with Reverend Rob Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with Kenneth Sutley, Stephen Sutley, Matthew Sutley, Bobby Hagen, Dr. James Gore and Leon Pilant serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Christopher Sutley and Jacob Meredith. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral Cremation Service. He is survived by his daughter, Sue and husband, Kenneth Sutley of Pryor, Oklahoma; his brother, James A. Tindell of California; his sister, Donna Burke of Wyoming; his grandchildren, Matthew and wife, Misty Sutley, Stephen Howard Sutley, Kerri Lynn Sutley; great grandson, Christopher Russell Howard Sutley; two step great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jacob Meredith; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arvilla Tindell on January 4, 2012; his grandson, Thomas Neal Sutley; his brothers, Horace and Bobby Tindell; his sisters, Blanche Ennis, Bea Murray and Opal Reed.
