Jack Hollingsworth

Jackson Hollingsworth, 86, of Adair, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in Adair, Oklahoma. He was born on February 19, 1926 in Antlers, Oklahoma, the son of Burl 'GuyGuy'Hollingsworth and Allie (Taylor) Hollingsworth. He married Mary Louise Casey. Jack taught FFA for Welch Public Schools for 12 years. He later went to work for the Farm Home Administration as a loan officer. He was of the Methodist Faith. Jack enjoyed fishing and arrowhead hunting. In his travels, Jack enjoyed stopping to visit historical markers and historical cemeteries. Jack enjoyed eating fried green tomatoes. He was a devoted husband and father who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Military honors will be presented by the Tinker Air force Honor Guard. To leave a personal message to his family, please see his web memorial at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. The family asks memorials be made to the Welch FFA in his memory. The family will receive friends and relatives from 2-4 on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral Cremation Service. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; son, David Hollingsworth of Adair, OK; daughter, Liz Masterson of Adair, OK; nephew, Jim Hollingsworth and niece, Kay Parnell; grandchildren, Shannon Eades, Dustin and wife Kathy Schilt, Heather and husband Chad Warren, Holli Schilt-Boucher, Maurice Masterson, and Austin Riley; great grandchildren, Taylor and Kambry Schilt, Kaden, Dakota and Kiahlin Boucher; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl 'GuyGuy' and Allie Hollingsworth; one son, Jack Wayne Hollingsworth, siblings, Preston, Marie, Hazel and Lorene.
