James Piland

Obituary for James A. "Jack" Piland, 78, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, passed this life on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born on June 23, 1939 in Direct, Texas, the son of Clavin Anderson Piland and Clara Fay (Corn) Piland. James had worked most of his life in the trucking and steel working industries. James married Karen Kordis on November 20, 1997. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially on the lake fishing and camping. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lorne Beck officiating. He is survived by his wife, Karen of the home; his sons, Doug Piland of Broken Arrow, OK, Bryan Piland and wife, Sarah of St. Louis, MO, Robert Stephens and wife, Debbie of Oklahoma City, OK and Marty Stephens and wife, Debbie of Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii, Mechelle Bancroft of Broken Arrow, OK, Lisa Ball of Pryor, OK, and Scott Burkhart of Pryor, OK; sisters, Dorothy King and husband, Brad of Foyil, OK and Dolly Vivian and husband, Cecil of Pryor, OK; 8 grandsons ad 6 granddaughters; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by, brother, Bill Corn; sisters, Shirley Grome and Imogene Combs.
