Obituary for John David Key

John David Key, 74, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on September 28, 1943 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the son of Daniel and Gertrude (Blackwell) Key. John faithfully served his country in the United States Airforce and after being honorably discharged went to work for Tally Frack as a foreman and then to Norit America as a purchasing agent. He married Jeanette Katen on May 28, 1971 and together made their life in Pryor. John loved cars; especially MG’s, and looked forward to going to Cozumel with his best friend, Doc Goforth, who preceded him in death, and OU football. He was a family man, who surrounded himself by those he loved most and enjoyed time with his grandchildren. They were his life. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the Your Place Church in Pryor with Pastor Darian Rains officiating.
