Mike Kingfisher

Mike Kingfisher, 76, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Grove. He was born on August 4, 1941 in Mayes County near Salina; the son of Claude Kingfisher and Betty (Pickup) Kingfisher. Mike graduated from Salina High School in 1961, and was later drafted into the United States Army, where he also played semi - pro baseball. After his military service he returned to Salina where working in Construction and roofing and later started his own company. Mike served his life for the Lord. He pastored many churches, loved to witness, and go to gospel singings. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in the Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend David Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Grass Cemetery with Michael Kingfisher, Ophie Kingfisher, Zach Lyman, Dustin Kingfisher, Chazz Kingfisher, and Cody Gist serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Reylin Feeling, Bryce Lyman, Thomas Pumpkin, Buddy Ross and Damien Downing. Mike is survived by his sons, Dean Kingfisher of Salina, Oklahoma, Mickey Kingfisher and wife Dianne of Kenwood, Oklahoma, Santo Tanner and wife Jennifer of Clewiston, Florida, and Jackson Tanner of Jay, Oklahoma; daughters, Hootie Lyman and husband Cooper of Salina, Oklahoma and Monica Pumpkin and husband Thomas of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; special friend he called "adopted son", Buddy Ross of Salina, Oklahoma; brothers, Ned Kingfisher of Pryor, Oklahoma, Clarence Kingfisher and wife Thelma of Salina, Oklahoma, Dale Kingfisher and wife Sally of Kenwood, Oklahoma, William Kingfisher and wife Mary of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Floyd Kingfisher and wife Rhonda of Salina, Oklahoma, and Kevin Kingfisher of Salina, Oklahoma; sister, Alice James of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Betty Kingfisher, wives, Bessie Kingfisher and Lily Kingfisher, daughter, Norman "Babe" Jean Kingfisher, and sister, Geneva Kingfisher.
