Mike Maslen

December 21, 1949 — July 7, 2018

Micheal Dale Maslen, 68, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 21, 1949 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the son of Willie Maslen and Sylvia Zella (Burnett) Maslen. He married Susan Cass on August 21, 1971 and have celebrated over 46 years together. Mike graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1972 with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. Mike worked as a child with his father in the family Apco Station. A collector of car memorabilia, he collected Texaco, Sinclair and Firestone. He worked as a manager for One Price Tire in Tulsa, Oklahoma and later opened Mikes Tire and Car Care in 1989 and continues 29 years later as a successful Pryor business. Mike served in the Army National Guard at Winfield, Kansas and later in the Air National Guard in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mike has been such an important part of Pryor itself, serving as President of Sertoma several times, being honored as Sertoman of the Year several times also. Mike was such an important part of Sertoma's Miss Pryor Pageant. His favorite Sertoma projects were the Annual Charity Auction and the Christmas shopping spree for needy children. Mike also spent many hours ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. Mike attended The First Church of God and served on the church counsel for many years. He also taught The Christian Family Sunday School Class for over 30 years. The best way to honor a man who gave so much to his community would be to step up and continue his service to the community he loved. Mike was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His family meant everything to him. Mikes love of God, Country, Family and Community was so evident in everything he did. To say he will be missed is such an understatement, but knowing he is now in the arms of his Lord gives us peace.
