Nancy Pittman

Nancy "Doris" (Alison) Pittman, 87, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on January 12, 1925, in Vick, Arkansas, the daughter of Lee Alison and Mae (Walker) Alison. Doris graduated from Little Rock's Central High School in 1943. In 1949, Doris married Fred Idell Pittman in Little Rock, Arkansas. She moved from Arkansas in 1961, living in Oklahoma for over 50 years. Her marriage ended in divorce in 1972 after blessing her with three beloved children. She worked for the Pryor Shoe Store as a sales clerk and doing repairs for many years. Doris was a Christian lady devoted to her Lord, children, and grand-children. She will be sorely missed, more than words can convey, by all who knew and loved her. Graveside Services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012, at noon in the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor, Oklahoma, where her body will be laid to rest. At Doris's request, Elder Bill W. Lee of Paris, Arkansas, will officiate. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society of Oklahoma in lieu of flowers. Services are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral Cremation Service of Pryor, Oklahoma. She is survived by her children: Nancy Idell (Pittman) Green of Dardanelle, Arkansas; Dorman Odell Pittman and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Pittman, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Kathy Lee (Pittman-Fuller) Fees and son-in-law, Lee Fees, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Of her five siblings, she is survived by younger brother, Tom Alison, of Foley, Alabama. She is also survived by ten grandchildren (Nathanael Pittman, Alison Pittman, Daniel Pittman, Jeremiah Pittman, Joshua Fuller, Jennifer Fuller-Gerhart and husband, Sam, Christina Fuller, Abigail Green, Benjamin Green, Reuben Green), four great-grandchildren (Jacob, Natalie, Jesse, Jack), nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mae Alison; her sisters, Mary Lee Gerber, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Hazel Irene East, of Little Rock, Arkansas; her brothers, Stephen Alison, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Billy Ray Alison, of Leola, Arkansas.
