Sue Richards

Sue Richards, 87, Pryor, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Salina, Oklahoma. She was born on April 12, 1930 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the daughter of Rollin Elliott and Mabel Grace (Hedrick) Adair. She graduated from Pryor High School in the Class of 1948. Sue worked for Nipak as an accountant for many years. She had many hobbies and enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing dominoes, cards, and board games with friends and family. She also loved to read, work crossword puzzles, and do craft work with beads. She was a member of the Pryor Methodist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Roger Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will be held at a future date. Sue is survived by her daughter, Maureen Doyle and husband Dewain of Pryor, Oklahoma; one grandson of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; 1 niece, Donna Gemmill and husband John of Pryor, Oklahoma; 2 nephews, Gary Johnson and wife Marie of Poteau, Oklahoma and Rollin Johnson and wife Joyce of Verdigris, Oklahoma; and a loving extended family throughout Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rollin and Mabel Adair; husbands, Roy C. Reece and Gene Richards; brothers, Robert Adair and Glenn Adair; and sisters, Maureen Koch, and Mary Lou Birdsong.
