Oodie Cummings

Oodie Cummings, 50, of Pryor, passed from this life on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was born on January 19, 1971 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Able “Boss” and Nancy Cummings (Fields). He was a member of New Mission Baptist Church in Rocky Ford and enjoyed attending various church activities. He took pride in his job as a welder at Elite Fabricators in Pryor. He also enjoyed softball, going to the creek, catching crawdads, and cooking hog meat. Most of all, he enjoyed his family, spending time with his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind many memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services for Oodie will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., in the Oaks school gym with Reuben O’Field officiating. Burial will take place at the Bill Batt Cemetery in Rocky Ford with Dink Cummings, Keith Lamb, Cullen Raper, Nakoma RomanNose, Nicky Ross, and Troy Sinor serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Billy Clinkenbeard, Ike Littledave, Nooge Littledave, Hector Ortiz, and Tony Ross. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife Wilma, of the home; his daughters, Ariel Cummings of Pryor, and Shelby Cummings of Kenwood; his son, Oodie Lee Cummings of Pryor; his brothers, Chad Cummings of Tahlequah, Daniel Cummings of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Joggy Fields and wife Sarah of Pryor; grandsons, Charlie and Maddy; father-in-law, William Littledave; brothers-in-law, Ike Littledave and Nooge Littledave and wife Chanda of Kenwood; sister-in-law, Lillian Raper of Pryor; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Boss and Nancy Cummings; grandson, Kaiden Cummings; mother-in-law, Linda Littledave; and brother-in-law, Charlie Littledave.
