Annabelle Ironside

April 30, 1927 — June 7, 2019

Annabelle Faye (Berry) Ironside, 92, of Pryor, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at her home in Pryor, Oklahoma.  She was born to David and Harriette (Cook) Berry on April 30, 1927 at Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.  She was eight months old when her family moved to a farm northwest of Big Cabin, Oklahoma.  She attended Centerview Elementary School, then to Big Cabin High School.  Her family moved to Adair where she graduated from Adair High School.  Annabelle continued her education at Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, graduating with her degree in Accounting.  Annabelle married Floyd Ironside and they had one daughter, Sheila, who they loved very much.   She worked in Oklahoma City as an accountant for several years, before deciding to come to Pryor to start her own business.  She continued to work until about five years ago, though she has kept a few bookkeeping accounts up until a year ago.  She was a Christian woman who helped many people, providing counseling and being a friend.  Annabelle will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her over he many years.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., in the Timpson Chapel Cemetery near her beloved husband Floyd and daughter Sheila.  Visitation will be on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. in the Shipman’s Funeral Chapel.  To leave a personal message to her family, please see her tribute at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman ‘s Funeral & Cremation Service.

Annabelle is survived by two sisters, Velta Reneberg of Brentwood, CA and Vivian Fraley Bolton of Eucha, OK; son, Richard and wife, Darlene Ironside of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; daughters, Cheryl and husband, Jim Quackenbush of Whitesburg, TN and Carolyn James of Whitesburg, TN; two grandsons, Richard James of Pryor, OK and Bill and wife, Donna of Whitesburg, TN; her loving caregiver, Linda La Porte who was a wonderful friend and companion; many other friends and family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Harriette Berry; her husband, Floyd Ironside; her daughter, Sheila Ironside; sister, Sylvia Conrad and one brother, Gerald Berry.
