Audry Stokes

August 28, 1949 — April 21, 2020

Audry Ann Stokes of Salina, Oklahoma was the daughter of John Owen Stokes and Mary
Ann (Houston) Stokes. Audry was born on August 28, 1949 in Pryor, OK. She passed away
on April 21, 2020 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 70. Audry went to grade school at Wickliffe and
High School at Salina where she loved playing basketball. Audry loved music especially
ELVIS!. She loved dancing and going to the movies and the creek to swim with her kids (her
son, and any niece or nephew she could get piled into her truck). Audry worked at Fabricut
then Red Devil in Pryor she also helped her Mom at Tom’s Laundry. She then retired on
disability and spent her days doing the things she loved. Audry loved to visit with her nieces
and nephews and her grandchildren. Anyone who knew Audry knew her as “Aunt Audry”
She loved everyone. Audry will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Especially her
Grandson Lane. She loved him so much. Memorial services will be held at a later date due
to COVID19 regulations. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral
Cremation Service of Pryor. Audry is survived by her son Curtis Stokes of Salina. One
grandson Lane Stokes of Salina. One granddaughter Amanda McKinnon of Anchorage
Alaska, 5 grandchildren Hayden Lee, Elyssa Nicole, Zoey Jane, Zaylea Jade, and
Vanessa Sue. One brother George Stokes. One sister in law Marylyn Stokes of Salina.
Neices Diane Daugherty and husband Marvin of Jay OK. Rhonda Cauthen of Pryor, OK.
Nancy Broner of Holt, MO. Patricia Easterly and husband Mike of Pryor, OK. Lisa White and
husband Tadpole of Salina, OK. Tammy Jane Lawson and husband Randy of Adair, OK.
Donna Mccullough of Broken Arrow, OK. Cat Myers and Kris of Grove, OK. Tammy
Michelle Stokes of Salina. Nephews Michael Broner of Holt, MO. Rodney Stokes and wife
Opal of Salina, OK. James Stokes of Sierra Vista, AZ. Greg Stokes and wife Carla of
Salina, Ok. And many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by her parents, 3-Brothers; John Owen Stokes Jr. William "Butch" Stokes, and Lee
Bennett Stokes; three sisters ; Ethel Cauthen, Viola Broner and Nora Jane Quinn. One
Amazing niece Debbie Lynn Watkins and Debbie’s daughter Kendale Sue Watkins.
