Barbara Ann (Martin) Baker, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend was born on November 5, 1938, in Forest, Louisiana, and passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 86.

Barbara’s life took her from Louisianna to Long Beach, California, where she spent many wonderful years. Her final days brought her back to Pryor, Oklahoma, where she spent her final days connecting with her daughter, grandson and those she missed dearly. She always said the best time of her life was those early years at Long Beach when she lived with her granddaughter Ashley as a little girl, creating treasured memories full of love and joy. In her younger years, Barbara embraced life fully and enjoyed many of life’s festivities. In her later years, she found a deep and abiding faith in God and Jesus, transforming her life with a love for her faith. She became a woman who loved Jesus above all. Barbara was also known for her love of puzzles and her passion for music, especially Christian gospel and Irish folk songs, and she enjoyed beading and making bracelets. In her later years, she also found joy in spending time with her great-granddaughter and listening to the music she loved.

Barbara was predeceased by her sons David Baker, Tommy Baker, and Ronnie Hall. She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Taylor, her grandchildren Ashley Baker, Jacob Baker, and Derek Boatwright. There will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to Revival Church in Sun City, California.
