Barbara Jean O'Kane, age 69, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, in Tulsa. Born on January 2, 1956, in Keene, New Hampshire, Barbara was known for her vibrant spirit and loving nature, which she carried throughout her life.

Barbara's interests were diverse, reflecting her deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. She had a particular passion for gardening, becoming renowned within her family as the only member with a green thumb. She nurtured a variety of plants, with sunflowers and zinnias holding a special place in her heart. Her love for animals was evident in her cherished pets, including her two dogs, Lilly and Marley, as well as her chickens and pet duck. Barbara found immense joy in watching the sunrises and sunsets, often enjoying her morning coffee on her back porch amidst the beauty of her flourishing garden. Cooking was another of her great loves, especially preparing meals for her family, with Sunday brunch after church being a treasured tradition.

Barbara is survived by her children, Daniel Hatstat and wife Jamie, Jonathan Hatstat, and Heather Rogers, all of Pryor, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her significant other, Robert Henderson, and her sister, Joni Otto of Winchester, New Hampshire. Her family continues to cherish her memory through her grandchildren, Baylee Hatstat of St. Joseph, Missouri, Makayla Thompson, Kylie Hatstat, Kelsie Hatstat, and Jonathan Hatstat, all of Blue Springs, Missouri; as well as a great-grandchild, Vivian Hatstat, of St. Joseph, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Frances (Hildreth) Fosdick, and her niece, Kelda Stetson. Barbara Jean O'Kane will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with those around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
