Barbara Gale Powell Pritchett was born on April 20, 1935 to Minerva and John Powell. She grew up with 8 older brothers and an older sister, mainly in Pryor. She loved her family and they loved her. She was also the last to join them in heaven. At the skating rink in 1954, Barbara caught the eye of Leon Pritchett. They were married in 1955 and Barbara became part of another wonderful family who she loved and who loved her. With the exception of Eula Gage, Leon’s sister, they have all preceded her in death. Barbara and Leon have 2 children, Bruce who blessed them with granddaughter Cassity, husband Jake Bixby and great grandson Crew of Claremore. Their daughter Kim blessed them with a grandson Jeremy, grandson Chase and great granddaughter Alexa and granddaughter Kylie, with great granddaughters Lexi and Paxily, all of Pryor. Barbara and Leon owned and worked together at Pritchett Trucking until their retirement in 2001. They enjoyed OU sports, traveling with friends and family. Most of all they enjoyed each other, more every day. And Barbara has missed him, more every day. Barbara took great pride and pleasure in taking care of her family and her home, inside and out. She loved doing housework and it was done to perfection daily. And she loved her lawnmower, always anxious for spring so she could get in the yard.
