Bettie Waters

Bettie Jean Waters, 77, of Okmulgee, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Okmulgee. She was born on June 21, 1943 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the daughter of Jack and Mamie (Eagleton) Brassfield. Bettie married the love of her life Ed on December 13, 1962 and they spent 58 wonderful years together. She was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed tending to her home. Bettie loved to crochet, cook, and make quilts. She was a member of the Oklahoma Home & Community Education Women’s group and enjoyed being active in her community. Bettie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family to cherish.

Bettie is survived by her daughter, Laura Embrey and husband Bill of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; brother, Jack Brassfield and wife Tina of Kentucky; grandchildren, Annastazia Clark and Sarah Wellinghoff. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed; parents, Jack and Mamie; daughter, Diane; and sister, Diana.
