Billy Charles McClellan was a career mechanic who retired from GRDA in 2003. He was a dedicated family man who loved Jesus. Billy Charles married Judy Kay Dalrymple November 28th 1959. They were married for 65 years. Their time together was characterized by loyalty and love. Bill was a Christian man. He was member of Pryor First Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and a leader in the singles department for many years. He served his country in the Oklahoma Army National Guard 45th division as a staff Sargent during the Vietnam era. In his early years, he enjoyed deer hunting, coon hunting and fishing. In his later years he fed the deer and any stray that came around. He loved taking care of his cattle. He had a green thumb, planting large garden every year. He made gardening look easy. Bill enjoyed working in his shop where he could fix or make just about anything you could need or want. He often used those talents to help his neighbors whenever they were in need. Bill liked college football especially OU and country music. The radio in the old work truck stayed on K95 Big country - loud! He listened to KOLS Pryor Radio in his early days. Bill showed his love in many ways. He knew Judy liked rocks so he would bring her ones he found, a heart shape, an almost Oklahoma shape and one he thought looked like a lady bug. “Just paint it “he said, so she did. It still sits on the utility room shelf. Some he thought looked like a piece of fudge, he must have been hungry those days. While digging potatoes - he found one shaped like a heart, it stayed in the kitchen window for a while. Bill was known for his fun spirit and quick wit. He dearly loved his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Melba Bates McClellan and his son William Charles McClellan.
