Billy Leon Hatfield, 82, of Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his home. He was born on October 26, 1938 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma; the son of JW Hatfield and Lillian (White) Hatfield. He married Jan Packard on June 20, 1958 in Mounds, Oklahoma and have celebrated 63 years of marriage. In Billy and Jan’s younger years, they enjoyed going square dancing. Billy was an auctioneer all of his life and worked all across Oklahoma, as well as Kansas and Arkansas. He loved to be the center of attention and enjoyed playing a good joke on those he loved. Billy raised cattle for many years and loved to spend time tinkering around the farm. He loved to have his family at his house as much as he could and he looked forward to family dinners and spending time with them. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021 in the First Baptist Church in Pryor with Doctor Mike Cox officiating. Billy is survived by his wife, Jan Hatfield of the home; daughters, Kris Hatfield – Ramsey and husband Randy of Pryor, Oklahoma, Kelley Kerns of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Kimi Hatfield of Pryor, Oklahoma; brother in law, Bob Pittman; seven grandchildren, Randy Ramsey, Jr. and wife Cassie, Zack Ramsey, Lyndsey Kerns, Logan Kerns, Brit Holloway, Billy Holloway and wife Catherine, and Brooke Holloway; four great grandchildren, Skylar Crisp, Kenna Ramsey, Ryder Ramsey, and Brea Ramsey; sister, Barbara White of Collinsville, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, JW and Lillian Hatfield; sisters, Lou Delcore and Sue Matlock; and brothers in law, Troy Matlock, Bob Pittman and Lowell Delcore.
