Brenda Lee McKibben, a cherished member of her family, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63. Born on May 23, 1962, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Brenda was known for her warm spirit and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.Brenda's life was marked by her commitment to family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Jim McKibben, with whom she shared a loving marriage since their wedding on August 3, 2001, at the Euwasha Baptist Church in Kenwood, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her daughter, Jade Sikes-Studie, and son-in-law Neil Studie of Pryor, Oklahoma; special nephew, Rex “Brother” Chancellor; along with numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Throughout her life, Brenda found joy in a variety of pursuits. She was an avid shopper, enjoyed traveling—particularly on family trips—and cherished spending time with her family during joyous gatherings and dinners. Brenda was a passionate reader, captivated by ghost stories and haunted history, and derived pleasure from playing bingo. Her love for communication shone through in her frequent conversations and exchanges with her family and friends, often via talking and texting. She also enjoyed yard sales and watching reality tv shows, and true crime documentaries.

Brenda’s legacy will live on among the many lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ada (Chewey) Budder, her brothers—Nelson, Jack, Joe, Harvey, Amos, Jimmy, Moses, and Simeon Budder—and her sisters, Mary Lou (Budder) King and Darlene (Budder) Roark.

Funeral services for Brenda will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2025, at Euwasha Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Budder officiating. Burial will follow in the Euwasha Cemetery with Randy Wadlow, Jacob King, Gabe Elam, Seth Elam, Don Wise, and Trenton Brixey serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers include Rex "Brother" Chancellor, Henry Brixey, and Neil Studie. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral Home.
