Carolyn Chumwalooky, 66, passed away on May 18, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in Grove, Oklahoma, on May 16, 1958. Carolyn led a fulfilling life marked by her dedication to both her work and her church. She owned and operated the Cherokee Shop in Salina and also shared her talents as a jeweler. Beyond her professional endeavors, Carolyn was known for her vibrant personality - she never met a stranger and had a gift for making friends wherever she went. Her faith was an integral part of her life, as she was a cherished member of The Gathering of Believers Church in Langley, Oklahoma. One of Carolyn's passions was music; she found peace and joy in playing the piano and singing. Carolyn will be deeply missed by her family and friends. In the wake of Carolyn's passing, may we find solace in the memories we shared with her and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind. Her unwavering love for life and genuine connections with others will forever be cherished.
 
Services to honor Carolyn's life will take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2024 at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service in Pryor.  Burial will follow in the Round Springs Cemetery with Devonte Ramsey, TJ Cummings, Brad Davis, Bryce Proctor, Josh Butcher, and Gil Hooper serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Chaston Chumwalooky, Brian Proctor, Brandon Thomas, and Keith Lamb. A visitation and wake service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. To leave her family a message, please visit her Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfunerahome.com.  Carolyn is survived by her son, Robin Chumwalooky and Carol Dry of Kenwood, Oklahoma; son, Buddy Ross of Salina, Oklahoma; daughter, Branda Chumwalooky and Charles Surine of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Lisa Easter of Jay, Oklahoma; brother, Leroy Leaf of Salina, Oklahoma; sisters, Sharon Proctor of Colcord, Oklahoma, Sheilah Thomas and husband Brandon of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Brianna Lamb and husband Keith of Salina, Oklahoma; 1 grandchild, Chaston Chumwalooky and fiancé Skyla Drywater; 1 great grandchild, River Chumwalooky; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Archie Leaf and Lorene Ross; husband, William Chumwalooky; brother, Parcy Budder; brother, Fred Leaf; and sister, Melissa Davis.
