Christi Jane Monsey, born on September 13, 1951, in Fairfax, Oklahoma, passed away on April 27, 2026, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was a loving and spirited woman whose life was marked by her devotion to her family and her many interests.
Christi was well known for her warm and generous nature. She had a spunky personality and a stubborn streak, balanced by a deeply giving heart. Among her many joys, she particularly cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She was passionate about creating beautiful wreaths and floral arrangements, enjoyed working out in her yard, and found joy in dancing. Christi also treasured her time with her husband and son, with whom she shared a close and loving bond. She delighted in home-cooked meals for her family and loved going on trips with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Monsey. Christi is survived by her son, Justin Monsey and his wife Tara of Claremore, Oklahoma; her sister, Marcy Morrison of Marlow, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Rylee Shearrer and her husband Eli, Colton Monsey, and Laker Monsey; as well as her great-grandchild, Shepherd Shearrer.
Christi Jane Monsey’s memory will live on through those who loved her and the many lives she touched with her kindness and vibrant spirit. She will be deeply missed.
