Clarence Jay Miller, age 71, was born in Pryor, OK on February 4, 1955 to Crist and Clara (Troyer) Miller. On December 5, 1974 he was united in marriage to Edna Mae Detweiler. They shared 51 years, 3 months and 29 days together. Clarence passed away peacefully in Tulsa, Ok on April 3, 2026 surrounded by loving family.
He was ordained to the ministry in 1983 and retired in 2025. For 20 years Clarence was a dedicated business owner, but farming was his passion. He lived life to the fullest in whatever he did, whether farming, fishing, camping, family or friends. He loved making people laugh, even up until the end.
He is survived by his wife Edna and 4 children. Meredith & Matthew Yoder of Chouteau, OK; Timothy & Eileen Miller of Chouteau, OK; Benjamin & Sharon Miller of Chouteau, OK; Rudy & Lynette Miller of Hutchinson, KS; 22 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild. Siblings Susan & Robert Detweiler of Inola, OK; Norman Miller of Chouteau, OK; Polly Kuhns of Humansville, MO; Ina Detweiler of Inola, OK; Clara Raber of Shipshewana, IN; Wilma & Glen Yoder of Chouteau, OK; sister in law Edna Miller of Chouteau, Ok and brother in law John Bontrager of Chouteau, OK.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Crist & Clara (Troyer) Miller, stepmother Fannie (Mast) Miller and 1 granddaughter Hannah Faith Miller. Siblings; Katie & Freeman Troyer, Herman & Lou Miller, sister in law Fannie Miller, brother in law Lester Kuhns, Albert & Fannie Miller, Cristie Miller, brother in law Eli Detweiler, Barbara Ellen Bontrager and brother in law Ervin Raber.
