Connie Jane Monahan, faithful wife, beloved mother, and loving Gramma passed away at home with her family by her side on May 31, 2025. A true desert flower, she was sweet, beautiful, and sometimes even a little prickly. She loved all things warm, sunshine, flowers, and traveling any chance she got, especially to her favorite place in the world, Arizona. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She was a homemaker for most of her life and spent her time cooking, sewing, gardening, painting, and teaching the next generation her ways. She was a faithful pastor’s wife for over 30 years and became a licensed minister in The Church of God in 1984. Anyone who heard her preach would describe her as fiery and anointed. Additionally, she was a huge advocate for children of all ages and spent 10 plus years as a foster mom, caring for those little ones who needed love and Jesus.
Connie is survived by her husband Frank “Slug” of the home; 3 children and their spouses, Clint Monahan and Vicky of Pryor, OK; Sherrie Latty and Michael of Tulsa, OK; Scott Monahan and JJ of Poughkeepsie, AR; 6 grandchildren, Dustin Hays, Heather Cabales, Derek Hays, Kylie Wommack, Dalton Monahan, Savannah Villegas; 11 great grandchildren; Tammy Monahan, mother of Dalton and Savannah; David Guy Hays, father of Dustin, Heather, and Derek; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, Laverne Elton Due and Beulah Fern Davis and grandson, Trent Monahan.
