Darvin Vivion, age 70, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on June 4th, 2026. Born on March 29, 1956 in Pryor, Oklahoma, Darvin lived a life defined by faith, hard work, creativity, and devotion to those he loved most.
Darvin was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Deanna Vivion (Kinion), and a proud father to his son, Dan Vivion, and daughter, Dana Holcroft. He was a terrific father-in-law to Tommy Holcroft and a loving grandfather to Katy Rowland and Courtney Holcroft and proud great-grandfather to Vivian Rowland, who brought great joy to his life.
Above all else, Darvin loved God, his wife, and his family. His faith guided his life and was reflected in kindness, strength, integrity, and a little bit of orneriness. He treasured time spent with family and created countless memories that will be held close for generations.
For many years, Darvin served his community as a mail carrier. To those on his route, he wasn’t just the mailman – he was everyone’s favorite mailman. His friendly smile, dependable nature, and genuine care for the people he served made a lasting impact on countless lives. He enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors along his route and was known for bringing a little extra sunshine to their day.
Darvin had a deep love for the outdoors and was an avid quail hunter who found peace and happiness in nature. He enjoyed spending time with his hunting buddies and training his bird dogs. He was a true craftsman and a man of remarkable talent. Known as a master of many trades, there seemed to be nothing he couldn’t build, repair, or create with his hands. Whether working on a project, helping a friend, or dreaming up a new creation, Darvin’s ingenuity and skill were admired by all who knew him.
Those who knew Darvin will remember his strong work ethic, generous spirit, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and through the countless lives he touched along the way.
Darvin was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Irene Vivion, and his parents-in-law, Don and Marjorie Kinion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Vivion of 50 years; his son, Dan Vivion; his daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Tommy Holcroft; his granddaughters Katy Rowland and husband Chris Rowland and Courtney Holcroft; his great-granddaughter, Vivian Rowland; brothers Freddie Vivion and wife Toni, Stanley Vivion, and Jack Vivion; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the memories they shared and in the faith that sustained him through his life.
The family welcomes contributions toward peach and plum trees to be planted at Darvin's home in honor of him and his legacy.
Darvin’s life was a testament to faith, love, hard work, and service to others. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
