David Thomas Scott, born on January 22, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at his home, where he lived with his sister Ti and his niece Claudette. A man of great humor and an unwavering positive attitude, David was cherished for his ability to bring joy and ease to those around him. He approached life with a light-hearted spirit, never taking most things seriously, which endeared him to many.
David had a passion for working with wood and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Nature was his sanctuary, and he found immense joy in activities such as swimming and sitting by a campfire, especially at nighttime. More than anything, he loved his family and doing family things.
He is survived by his sisters, Tiyan Martin of Spavinaw, OK, and Ginger Eastwood of Tulsa; brothers, Dana Russell Scott, Jr. of Travelers Rest, SC, Jerry Scott of Mannford, OK, and Steve Scott of Spavinaw, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Dana Russell Scott Sr. and Dorothy (Herriford) Scott, and his sister, Carla Loving.
