He was born on October 31, 1939, in Greensburg, Kansas. Throughout his remarkable life, David touched the hearts of many with his unwavering kindness and infectious zest for life.

After graduating high school in 1956, David joined the Air Force in 1961 and was stationed in Taiwan where he played a vital role in building the base and vehicle maintenance. His service to his country was marked by honor and bravery. On May 16, 1973, David accomplished one of his proudest feats by marrying the love of his life, Carol. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship. He dabbled in oilfield work a forestry job near Colorado when he was younger, but was a life long diesel mechanic, having  owned his own business and later in life retired at the age of 79 from Inland Truck Service in Tulsa. David's dedication and passion shone through in all aspects of his work. Beyond his professional endeavors, David found joy in various hobbies and interests. He purchased his first home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in 1976 and developed a deep love for German Shepherds. An avid card player, he enjoyed spending time with friends like Larry Hopkins, with whom he shared a special bond over tinkering with cars, racing, fishing, enjoying beer, and riding Harley motorcycles. He also loved that his birthday was on Halloween. David's vivacious personality endeared him to many; he was known for his generosity and unwavering loyalty to those he held dear. His presence brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
