Deberah Elizabeth Simmons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on May 29, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 30, 1966, in Tahlequah Oklahoma to parents Robert and Earline Doyle. Deberah leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, especially family get-togethers at the creek that brought joy to all those around her. She delighted in playing games with the kids when they were younger, and competitive spirit shone through during cards and dice with her beloved grandkids. Deberah's passion for hosting family gatherings and cooking for her loved ones during holidays will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She took great pleasure in spending time with her grandkids and baking cookies with them, creating lasting bonds through shared moments of warmth and love. She also enjoyed shopping, often purchasing little things here and there. Deberah's love extended even to her dogs as she cooked steaks for them every day.
Deberah will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Rick Simmons, of the home; sons, Josh Simmons and wife Lucretia of Locust Grove, and Jake Simmons and wife Amber of Rose; daughter Jessica Pearce of Pryor; brother, Robert Doyle Jr. and wife Brenda of Peggs; sisters Tammy Burson of Peggs, and Donna Simmons and husband Todd of Salina; grandchildren, Keyton Simmons, Kendyn Simmons, Jace Simmons, Austin Simmons, and Aiden Simmons; as well as other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandma, Mary Hutchison; parents Earline and Robert Doyle; and brother, Gary Michael Doyle.
A night of visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Center in Pryor, Oklahoma. A funeral service will take place at Peggs Community Church in Peggs, Oklahoma on Monday, June 3, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rex Henderson officiating, and Jake Simmons, Josh Simmons, Jace Simmons, Austin Simmons, Keyton Simmons, and Kendyn Simmons serving as casket bearers.
