Listen to Obituary

Deborah Ann Duckworth, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. She was born on August 17, 1960, in Allgood, Alabama.

Deborah dedicated much of her career to being a Mary Kay consultant in Dallas, Texas, where her passion for beauty was evident, and her favorite color—lipstick red—symbolized her vibrant personality. She had a delightful sense of humor and often expressed her love for Miller beer, proudly declaring, "Miller was the champagne of all beers."

A proud member of Shared Blessings and Mike's Club in McAlester, Oklahoma, Deborah found great joy in her community involvement and was a devoted member of Northside Assembly of God in McAlester. Her faith guided her daily, shaping her character and influencing those around her.

In her personal life, Deborah cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her beloved children; Jessie Duckworth of Pryor, Oklahoma; Joshua Duckworth of Pryor, Oklahoma; Tamara Shropshire of Waxahachie, Texas; and Angela and Shandron Burrow of Pryor, Oklahoma. Deborah was a doting grandmother to Angel, Hope, Stormy, Mason, Charlie, Alexis, and Avery, as well as a great-grandmother to little Makenna and grand-dog Eve. She also adored her service dog, Ramshot, with whom she spent countless hours, finding companionship and joy in their bond. She is also survived by the fathers of her children, Richard Shropshire and Scottie (Honey) Duckworth.

Deborah's legacy continues through her loving siblings: brothers Johnny Woods, Ricky Woods, Royce Vaughn, Larry Coker, and sisters Carole Woods, Donna Woods and Perry Anders, Johnnie Sue Rosales, and Sharon Campbell. Together, they carry forward the warmth and kindness she embodied.

Though Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Woods and Fanny Buse, and her stepmother, Minnie Woods, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family. She also joins her brother Jessie Woods, in memories that weave through the stories told by her loved ones.

As we remember Deborah Ann Duckworth, we celebrate a life filled with love for family, dedication to her work, and a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit and the love she shared so generously throughout her life.
