Donna Lane

Donna Marie Lane, 74, of Strang, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in the Heartsworth Senior Living Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. She was born in Parsons, Kansas on June 21, 1947, the daughter of Van Thomas Shelton and Mildred Cook.  Donna worked as a waitress for several years while in Missouri.  She married Cecil L. Lane on September 25, 2002, in Miami, Oklahoma and made a wonderful life together until his passing in 2012.  She was a member of the Spavinaw Hills House of Worship in Spavinaw and loved to sing at church singings.  Donna was a lovely lady who lived a beautiful life.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in the Spavinaw Hills House of Worship with Reverend Tobe Sperry officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery next to her husband Cecil. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. To leave a personal message to her family, please visit her Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service.

She is survived by a dear friend, Teresa Arnett of Pensacola, OK; friend, Joey Harris of Spavinaw; many other relatives and  friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Lane; and special friend, Carl Leach.
