Donna Sue McCright

Donna Sue McCright (Petty) 73, of Pryor, OK passed away at her home on July 31, 2023.  She was born on August 4th, 1949, in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of Charles J Petty Jr. and Hazel Ann Petty (Trout). Donna was the third child having an older sister Elizabeth, older brother Charles and younger brother Joe.

Donna was a devoted Mother to her son Randy, a doting “Wawa” to her Grandson Rolly, and was affectionately known as “Aunt Donna” to many. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and beloved dogs at her beautiful home on Lake Hudson.  

Donna grew up in Pryor and was the Valedictorian of Pryor High School Class of 1967.  After graduation, Donna attended the University of Oklahoma and was a lifelong Sooner fan.  Donna was a hard worker and built a successful accounting practice where she truly enjoyed helping her friends and clients until the day she died.

Donna will be remembered for her generosity and her love of helping others.  She is survived by her son Randy Blurton and family, Kerry and Rolly of Frisco, TX; her sister Elizabeth Newman and husband Cooke of Broken Arrow and her brother Joe Petty of Pryor.

 

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2023, at Shipman's Funeral Home.
