Dustin Wade Dawson, a dedicated and beloved family man, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Salina, Oklahoma. Born on February 26, 1972, in Arkansas, Dustin led a life marked by hard work, creativity, and a deep commitment to his loved ones.

Dustin spent much of his life working as a roofer. His skills extended beyond roofing; he also engaged in working on cars, showcasing his practical talents and hands-on abilities. Alongside his professional life, Dustin was an artist with a passion for drawing and wood crafting. His creations included carving and making wood canes, reflecting both his artistic eye and craftsmanship. He found joy in outdoor pursuits such as noodling, catching copperheads and rattlesnakes, and mushroom hunting, activities that connected him with nature and enlivened his adventurous spirit.

Known for his jovial personality, Dustin had a natural talent as a jokester, bringing laughter and lightness to those around him. His warmth and sense of humor were a cherished part of his character, leaving a lasting impression on family and friends alike.

Dustin's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his daughters and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply. He was affectionately known as "Loud Papa" to his grandchildren, a testament to the lively and loving presence he maintained in their lives. He took great pride in his daughters and treasured every moment spent with his family, valuing the bonds that tied them together and would let everyone know how proud of them he was.

He leaves behind a devoted mother, Patricia Ann (Pratt) Dawson of Salina, Oklahoma; his daughters Kirsten Bark of Leach, Oklahoma; Louann Dawson of Salina, Oklahoma; Tressa Mahurin and her husband Quinton of Salina, Oklahoma; and Cadance Falling of Leach, Oklahoma. He also is survived by his brothers Don Eddie Hart and wife Charlotte of Salina, Oklahoma, and Darin Dawson, as well as seven grandchildren who carried forward the joy he brought into the family.

Dustin was preceded in death by his father, Paul Dawson; his aunt, Carol Pratt; and his grandmother, Irene Pratt.

Dustin Wade Dawson’s life was a testament to dedication, creativity, and the importance of family. His legacy continues through those who loved him and the many lives he touched with his caring spirit and good humor.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lorne Beck officiating.
