Earl Joe Johnson, 80, of Pryor, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at his home. He was born on June 13, 1941 in Jay, Oklahoma; the son of Agnes Otho and Ella Mae (Thompson) Johnson. He married the love of his life, Lillie Fern Layton on October 2, 1962 in Joplin, Missouri and have spent 59 wonderful years of marriage. Joe retired as the Dairy Manager for Safeway and Homeland after 35 years. He loved to tinker around his home, working on cars, woodworking. He was truly a jack of all trades and enjoyed fixing things. He was a man of faith and was a member of the Claremore Church of God. Above all, Joe loved his family and cherished each moment he had to spend with them. He leaves behind many memories for his family to remember.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Walden officiating. Joe is survived by his wife, Lillie Fern Johnson of the home; son, Rickey Johnson, Sr. and wife Kimberly; daughter, Kelly Farris; grandchildren, Rickey Johnson, Jr. and wife Teena, Dustin Johnson and wife Rominee Johnson; Hollis Foutch and wife Jennifer, Jessica Foutch, Kalee Macon; Amber Garcia and husband Hermelindo, Brent Farris and wife Monica, Caleb Farris and Dalan Farris; great grandchildren; Kenna Johnson, Ryder Johnson, Roper Johnson, Kayloni Johnson, Brayden Johnson, Tucker Foutch, Harlee Foutch, Brylee Foutch, Aubree Estop, Logan Foutch, Leighton Macon, Diego Garcia, Daymien Garcia, Lukas Garcia, and Riley Farris; great great grandchild, Athena Garcia; brothers, Donald Johnson and wife Helen, Jesse Johnson and wife Polly, and Gary Johnson and wife Kathy; sisters, Linda Walden and husband Gary, and Sharon Gilbert; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Ella Mae Johnson, brothers, Edgar, Ralph, and Glenn Johnson; and sisters, Helen Johnson and Betty Potter.
