Listen to Obituary

Edmond Wayne “Eddie” Lee, 72, of Pryor, Oklahoma, went to his forever home on August 31, 2025, surrounded by love, in the comfort of his home with the care of ViaLife Hospice.

Eddie was born on July 24, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Edmond Lewis Lee and Lula (Yates) Lee. He was raised in Sand Springs and was an active member of The Assembly of God Church, where his father served as a deacon and his mother participated in many church activities. From a young age, Eddie embraced his Christian faith, a foundation that remained strong throughout his life.

He attended Charles Page High School, where he excelled as a catcher on the baseball team. His passion for the sport continued beyond graduation. Eddie shared a special bond with his little brother Bobby, who was also his best friend growing up.

After high school, Eddie began a career as an electrician, but his love for the mountains led him to accept a job in oil exploration, allowing him to work in the places he loved most.

In 1981, while home for a visit, Eddie met the love of his life, Charlette. They were married on September 2, 1982, and together raised two sons in the country. Eddie was actively involved in his sons’ lives, often coaching their teams and cheering them on from the sidelines. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and he fulfilled a lifelong dream with a memorable hunting trip to Africa.

Family was at the heart of Eddie’s life. He cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called him “the best Papa in the world.”

Eddie is survived by his beloved wife, Charlette of Pryor, Oklahoma; sons Anthony Reiss (Tonya) and Chris Reiss (Amy); grandchildren Christian Reiss (Jessica), Hannah Reiss (Faisel), Landon Reiss, Olivia Reiss, Jack Reiss, Jax Williamson, Jaret Williamson, and Jenna Williamson; great-grandchildren Ella Edwards, Emily Reiss, Kayden Collins, and a baby boy expected in December. He is also survived by his brother Bobby Lee (Kali), nephew Aaron Lee (Magen), niece Stephanie Strand (Jeremy), and great-nieces and nephews Hunter, Cody, Brady, and Addison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends.

Eddie was a devoted member of Freedom Baptist Church in Salina, Oklahoma, and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral services for Eddie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2025, at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Johnnie Faught officiating. Interment will follow in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery in Boatman with Christian Reiss, Landon Reiss, Jack Reiss, Jaret Williamson, Jax Williamson, and Kayden Collins serving as casket bearers.
