Eric Joseph Swake, 45, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Monday, February 20, 2023, in Tulsa. He was born on September 30, 1977, in Tulsa, to Larry and Debra (Johnson) Swake. Growing up, he could be found playing street football with his friends every Sunday and later enjoyed watching college and professional football, especially when it came to the OU Sooners and the Pittsburg Steelers. He had a passion for music and even played guitar in his band, Native War. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his son, Keiven, piddling around the house or playing games. He leaves behind many memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services for Eric will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2023, in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Soldier officiating. Burial will follow at the Russell Cemetery in Oaks. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2023, in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Eric is survived by his son, Keiven Swake of Tulsa, OK; mother, Debra Swake of Tulsa, OK; brothers, Micah Swake and wife Amy of Verdigris, OK, and Brandon Swake and wife Pixie, of Tulsa, OK; sister, Regina Ramos of Tulsa, OK; and many other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Swake.
