Locust Grove

Reverend Erice Wayne Wilcox, age 87, entered into God’s glory on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was born on March 24, 1936, to Erice C. and Oneta M. (Baldwin) Wilcox. Wayne lived a life dedicated to faith and family.

Throughout his life, Wayne embodied unwavering devotion and spiritual guidance as an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God for 53 years. His ministerial path led him to pastor churches in Cherry Valley, Depew and Lancaster in New York. Wayne's commitment to sharing the teachings of faith touched countless lives and left an enduring legacy of love and compassion.

As also an Air Force Veteran who served his country, Wayne carried himself with dignity and honor both on and off the battlefield. His dedication to his faith shone brightly in every aspect, guiding him not only through his career but also through his relationships with family and friends.

Wayne found true joy in the simple pleasures of life when retired in 2003 and his love for the Oklahoma Sooners knew no bounds, as he enthusiastically cheered on both the men's and women's teams during their sporting events. Beyond his passion for sports, Wayne's heart belonged to his beloved wife, Mary, with whom he shared 67 cherished years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership.
