Ethma Louise Suggs

Ethma Louise Suggs was born June 11, 1942, to Charles Victor and Alta Mae Hughes in Wright City, OK. She passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Chouteau, OK at the age of 82.

 Ethma attended school in Chouteau, OK and graduated with the class of 1960. She married Larry Suggs of Chouteau, OK and had three children, Jeff, Stacey and Rebecca. After Jeff and Stacey graduated from Chouteau, OK High School, Larry and Ethma along with Rebecca began traveling around the country working right-of-way jobs while home schooling Rebecca and spreading the word of Jesus. Ethma led many souls to Christ. She was Mother to many and loved everyone. She was loved by all. 

Ethma is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Suggs, parents, Charles and Alta Hughes, two sisters Martha Hughes and Mary Poe, three brothers, Sam, Terry and Jim Hughes, son-in-laws Rick Morrow and Jerome Snelling, and grandson, Jason Austin Suggs. 

Ethma is survived by her children Jeff Suggs and wife Sherry of Chouteau, OK, Stacey Snelling of Tulsa, OK, and Rebecca Moore of Sapulpa, OK, also by her grandchildren, David Suggs and wife Rachelle of Chouteau, OK, Lindsey Corbett and husband, Matt of Chouteau, OK, and Daniel Suggs and wife Misti of Pryor, OK, and great-grandchildren Ayden Corbett, Melody Suggs, Emma Corbett, Raustin Suggs, Delaney Suggs and Grant Suggs and also brother Leon Hughes of Claremore, OK, brother-in-law John Poe of Locust Grove, OK, sisters-in-law, Virginia Hughes of Pittsburgh, KS and Rose Hughes of Chouteau, OK, several nephews and nieces and a host of friends. Rejoice as she is now with her Lord!!

A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
