Frances Martin

Frances Jean Martin, 73, of Tulsa, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in Tulsa. She was born on October 8, 1948 in Pryor; the daughter of Jack and Wilma (Dareing) Wells. Frances earned her Bachelor’s of Arts Degree and taught elementary music for most of her life. She married Garry Martin in Pryor on August 3, 1972 and they have celebrated 49 years of marriage. Frances was a kind and gracious host. She loved planning, coordinating details, decorating and hosting friends and family for gatherings and meals. She also looked forward to watching old war movies and OU football. Frances was a wonderful pianist and enjoyed playing and singing. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend and leaves behind many memories for her family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. Frances is survived by her husband, Garry Martin of the home; son, Joe Martin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Mary Wells of Pryor,
Oklahoma; 5 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews; 2 great great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Wilma Wells; and her sister, Jackie Wells.
