Frank Thomas Hagerman, 94, of Pryor, departed from this life on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 12, 1926 in Cromwell, Oklahoma; the son of Jess and Tressie Eva (Bramlett) Hagerman. Frank faithfully served our country in the United States Navy on the USS Saratoga from 1943 to 1946. He earned the Victory Metal as well as the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal. After being honorably discharged from the military, he attended Northeastern State University and earned his Master’s Degree in Education. Frank’s passion of caring and working with others lead him to open and own several successful nursing homes across Oklahoma. He was an active member of the American Legion in Pryor as well as a member of the Haskell Masonic Lodge. He traveled all his life and saw many incredible places around the world. He was an avid fisherman and bird hunter. In his pastime, he loved to float the river with his family and friends. Frank was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but leaves behind many wonderful memories for them to cherish.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Green Country Veterans or the Blue Star Mothers. Frank is survived by his daughter, Dawna Young and husband Jay; 4 grandchildren, Bruce Cline, Crystal Hagerman, Caitlin Smith, and Brody Pempsell; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler Cline and Liam Hagerman; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Franklin Hagerman, Jr; daughter, Deborah Hagerman; and brother, Smokey Martin.
