April 29, 1938 — March 30, 2024

Pryor

Glendola Mae (Peters) King, beloved by many, left this world on March 30, 2024 surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be cherished. Born on April 29, 1938 in Pryor, Glendola touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Described as loving, sweet, and always putting others before herself, Glendola's presence would light up any room. Her vibrant personality shone through as she brought joy and humor to those around her. With fiery red hair to match her feisty spirit, she was truly one of a kind. Throughout her life, Glendola found immense joy in her family, friends, and faith. She adored spending time in her garden, creating delicious meals in the kitchen, and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Glendola loved playing Texas Hold 'Em, and usually won! Her talent for sewing led to the creation of numerous baby quilts that will serve as lasting mementos of her love. Glendola's journey through life included finding love with her husband Andrew King, whom she married on December 29, 1995. Together they shared many adventures, including travels to new places. Glendola was a hairdresser for over 45 years and owned and operated various beauty shops throughout her career. She was also a cook for Pryor Public Schols for many years, which was a testament to her hard work and dedication. Glendola served as an Exalted Ruler of the Pryor Elks Lodge and was a longtime member of the Pryor Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. A longtime member of the First Church of God (now known as Creekside Church), Glendola's faith was a guiding light that inspired all those who knew her. As family and friends gather to honor Glendola Mae (Peters) King's memory, let us remember the laughter she brought into our lives and the love she shared with each one of us. May her spirit live on in our hearts forever. While Glendola may no longer be with us in person, her legacy of kindness and humor will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
