Ida B. Haley, 98, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1926, to Virgil and Minnie (Gann) Willis. Ida married Ray Haley on April 20, 1943, in Salina, and together they shared many devoted years. She was a lifelong member of the Salina First Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for many years as the Sunday School secretary. Ida was active in the community through her longtime membership in the American Legion Auxiliary in Salina. An avid bowler, she enjoyed being part of various bowling leagues throughout her life. She also loved watching QVC, cooking for family and friends, and was well-known for being a gracious hostess who took pride in her delicious pies and welcoming gatherings at her home. Ida worked for many years as the school secretary for Salina Public Schools, where she was valued for her dedication and care for students and staff alike. Ida will be remembered for her warm heart, steadfast faith, and the love she shared with family, friends, and her community.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Allen of Salina, Oklahoma, and Rebecca “Becky” Wilson and husband Brian of Salina, Oklahoma; sister, Reba Benham of Salina, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shannon Wade, Rusty Foster, Charley Latta, Grant Latta, Kristin Kelley, Corey Latta, and Chey Barton; great-grandchildren, Cody Wade, Clay Wade and Amber, Brayden Wade and Brooke, Tawney Foster and Damon Sitsler, Alexis Latta and Gage Traylor, and Kaitlyn Latta and Roo Foster; great-great-grandchildren, Aliza Wade, Caydon Wade, Blazey Wade, Brylee Traylor, Waylen Traylor, and one on the way; along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Minnie Willis; her husband, Ray Haley; and siblings, Preston Willis, W.G. Willis, Thelma Haley, and Clyde Willis.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in the Salina First Baptist church in Salina, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Ross – Mayes Cemetery in Salina with Cody Wade, Clay Wade, Braydon Wade, Rusty Foster, Grant Latta and Corey Latta. Honorary casket bearers will be Charley Latta and Clay Earl Rice. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor.
