Ileana Ramsey

Ileana Lucille Ramsey, 100 years 8 months 17 days, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at her home in Pryor. She was born on August 6, 1918 on Hadley Mountain near Yonkers, Oklahoma; the daughter of Quinton and Etta Mae (Stephens) Vivion. Ileana married Royce Ramsey on August 17, 1934 in Mayes County, and they celebrated 63 years of marriage before his passing in 1998. She worked as a homemaker most of her life, enjoying cooking for her family and spending time with those she loved most. Her family remembers her Sunday dinners and getting together at her house. She also worked on a rural mail route for many years in the Mayes County area. Ileana enjoyed flower gardening and especially enjoyed her rose bushes. She also wrote music and played the guitar. She was a member of the Pryor Church of Christ and looked forward to going to church. Ileana was a wonderful mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2019 in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Roger Moore, Craig Coppedge, Josh Collins, Shane Moore, Richard Ramsey, and David Ramsey serving as casket bearers. Ileana is survived by her son, Billy Joe Ramsey of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter, Cathy Rogers of Pryor, Oklahoma; son in law, Forest Rogers of Pryor, Oklahoma; brother, Cecil Vivion and wife Dolly of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter in law, Jo Reta Ramsey of Pryor, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Renita Ramsey – Moore, Judith Ramsey – Coppedge, Lorrie Ramsey, Richard Ramsey, David Ramsey, Hannah Rogers – Moore, and Heather Rogers – Collins; 16 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Quinton and Etta Mae Vivion, husband, Royce Ramsey, son, Roy Leon Ramsey; 5 siblings, Roy Vivion, Bob Vivion, Fred Vivion, Eulia Vivion and Eunice Vivion; daughter in law, Margaret Ramsey and grandson, Johnny Ramsey.
