Irene Ramirez

Irene R. Ramirez, 70, of Salina, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on June 28, 1952, in Poteet, Texas, to Manuel and Manuela (Lopez) Rios. She grew up in Texas but later moved and spent most of her life in Nebraska. She enjoyed being around people, visiting with her friends, going to the casinos on vacation, and dancing. She also loved to venture out on long drives and sightsee. She leaves behind many memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Shipman’s Funeral Home. No other services will be held. She is survived by her son, Robert Ramirez and fiancé, Tanya Kingfisher of Salina; sisters, Lena Rios of of Mississippi, Elizabeth Duque and husband Juan of Nebraska, and Maria Valles and husband Carlos of Texas; grandchildren, Louis Villarreal, Marissa Mancias, and Derek Kingfisher; great grandchild, Louis Joe Villarreal; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Manuela Rios; son, Manuel G. Ramirez; and significant other, Roberto L. Ramirez.
