Jackie Don Wilson, age 66, of Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Chouteau. He was born on March 2, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jackie led a life characterized by hard work, dedication to his family, and a passion for the outdoors.
Jackie established himself in the community by running his own backhoe service, aptly named Wilson's Backhoe Service.
Above all, Jackie cherished the time spent with his loved ones, particularly his grandson, Tatum, with whom he shared a special bond. He also enjoyed spending time on the back porch with his nephew, Roy. He understood the importance of family and invested heavily in creating lasting memories. Jackie was passionate about deer hunting and found great pleasure in driving through scenic landscapes, always donning his signature white hat. Known for his playful spirit, he took joy in teasing friends and family just enough to evoke laughter or perhaps a good-natured frustration.
He is survived by his sisters, Margie Anderson of Chouteau, OK, and Beverly Rogers and her husband Jim of Mt. Grove, MO; and his grandson, Tatum, along with many other relatives.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Beverly (Pilant) Wilson; brothers, James Leroy Wilson Jr. and George Wilson; and sister, Wanda Reed.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral Home. To leave a personal message, please visit his guest book at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service of Pryor.
