Janet LeAnn Davis, passed away on September 6, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 57. Born on January 1, 1968, in Coffeyville, Kansas, she embodied warmth and creativity, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.
Janet’s artistic spirit flourished through her love for painting and art, as well as her passion for tattoos, which expressed her unique personality. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; she was a devoted member of the First Assembly Church in Coffeyville and enjoyed watching preachers Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen. She was also fond of jewelry, particularly necklaces and bracelets made with all sorts of stones and minerals that reflected her vibrant spirit. Family was the heart of Janet’s life, and her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and spent countless cherished moments with. Janet met her spouse, Gene Phillips, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Their 18 years together were a testament to their strong bond and shared love for one another.
Janet is survived by Gene Phillips of the home as well as her beloved children: Jacob Carriker and Tonisha, Joshua Carriker and Summer, Joseph Carriker, and Julia Carriker and Josh. Janet also adored her stepchildren, Sean Phillips, Roger Phillips and his wife Shannon, as well as her stepson Denny Phillips. Stepdaughters Tami Qualls and husband Matt, and Melissa Watt and husband Leland. She will be missed dearly by several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Janet was the beloved sister to William Davis and his wife Debbie, James Davis and his wife Debra, and Timothy Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Julia Davis, along with her grandparents, Noel and Helen Davis, Homer G and Mary Mills. Her brothers, Dewayne Davis and Bobby Davis, as well as her nephews, Drew Davis and Lane Miller.
Janet LeAnn Davis is remembered not just for who she was but for the love she shared freely with her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, artistry, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends. Janet will forever be a guiding light in the lives she touched.
