Janice Belle (Rodgers) Scott, 74, of Claremore, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at her home. She was born on August 15, 1948 in Great Bend, Kansas; the daughter of Alvin Rodgers and Mabel (Ratzlaff) Rodgers. She married the love of her life, Duayne Scott, on June 20, 1969 in Salina, Kansas. They had celebrated 53 years of marriage. Janice worked as a Unit Secretary for many years at Hillcrest Medical Center. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and word games of any kind. She loved her family and enjoyed every moment she had to spend with them. She leaves behind many memories for her family to remember and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2023 in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery in Adair, Oklahoma and then continue to the Pleasant Hope Church for her Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2023 with Pastor Dave Scott. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. Janice is survived by her husband, Duayne “Ron” Scott of the home; sons, Dave Scott and wife Shannon of Middleton, New Hampshire and Sean Scott and wife Jennifer of Big Cabin, Oklahoma; daughter, Julie Six and husband Billy of Claremore, Oklahoma; brothers, Paul Rodgers and wife Starrlyt of Topeka, Kansas and Tom Rodgers and wife Cindy of Axtell, Texas; 15 grandchildren, John Scott, Walter Young and wife Dawn Young, Kimberly and husband Josh Beech; Travis Young and wife Stacy Young; Bryan Six; Brooke Carter, Isaac Scott, Jordan Scott, Eden Scott, Selah Scott, Levi Scott, Zivah Scott, Petra Scott, Ruby Scott and Simon Scott; and 2 great grandchildren, Lenora Young and Josh Beech; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Mabel Rodgers; sisters, Virginia Hanceford, Doris Key, Frances Tarnstrom, Pauline Smith and brothers, Roy Rodgers, Gale Rodgers, and Robert Rodgers.
