Jason Taylor

Jason Lee Taylor, 44, of Chouteau, passed from this life on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on April 27, 1977, in Pryor, Oklahoma; the son of Jim Lee Taylor and Gale (Tatum) Taylor. Jason graduated from NSU with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He then later went on to work for GRDA as a computer specialist and truly enjoyed his career. Jason was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma and an avid Oklahoma Sooner’s fan. He loved antique shopping, golf, corn hole, and spending time with his family and friends. Jason was a loving son, father, and friend who leaves us much too soon. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial services for Jason will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Shipman’s Funeral Home with Reverend Don Bendure officiating. Honorary urn bearers will be Jim Bob Ashley, Jeff Grossman, Jacob Johnson, Patrick George, Scott Oliver, Charles Arrowsmith, Steve Sparks, and Shane Moore. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Jason is survived by his mother, Gale Taylor of Chouteau; son, Cameron Taylor of Tampa, Florida; aunt and uncle, Mike and Vickie Walters of Chouteau; uncles, Michael Tatum of Texas, and Tom Taylor of Tulsa; cousins, Scott and Tabatha Walters, Kim and Ben Wade, Jennifer and Charles Arrowsmith, Walt and Valerie Taylor, and Lisa and Doug Heikkila; special friends, Hallie James Oliver, Jim Bob Ashley, Mel Sorenson, and Steven Sparks; and many other relatives and friends. Jason is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Ora Jeffcoat, and Louie and Martha Tatum; and his father, Jim Taylor.
