JD Williams passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on March 8, 1932, in Peggs, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Hester (Rice) Williams.

JD was a hardworking man who spent many years working as a millwright. Throughout his life, he enjoyed traveling and seeing new places, with Hawaii holding a special place in his heart. He treasured the memories made during his travels and the experiences he was able to enjoy along the way.

Some of JD’s greatest joys came from his family and the time spent on the farm. He especially loved his great-grandchildren and cherished every opportunity he had to spend time with them. The simple moments shared with his family were among the most meaningful parts of his life.

JD is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Hester Williams; his wife, Mabel Williams; and his daughter, Sharon Simmons.

He is survived by his grandson, Greg Williams and wife Theresa of Pryor, Oklahoma; sisters, Betty of Boatman, Oklahoma, and Gloria Castleberry of Claremore, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Williams, Justin Williams, Aidan Rotenberry, Maranda Howard, Jerrod'Lee Owen, and Lexi Littlefield; as well as other relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.
