Jeanette Gail Douglas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away on August 6, 2023, in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born on June 17, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jeanette's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of dedication to her family and community. Throughout her life, Jeanette embraced various hobbies and interests that brought her joy and fulfillment.  She cherished the moments spent with loved ones during family gatherings. Her skilled hands created beautiful garments as she enjoyed the art of sewing. Jeanette enjoyed spending time fishing and looking for a bargain at any garage sale she would come across. Jeanette also delighted in watching game shows like Wheel of Fortune and The Price Is Right, and thoroughly enjoyed playing bingo. Jeanette spent much of her life at Solae and later became a successful real estate agent. On May 25, 1966, Jeanette married the love of her life, Jerry Douglas, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and loyalty that lasted throughout the decades. Together they built a strong foundation of love and support for their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Together, they served as missionaries to Paraguay, South America for 7 years.  Jeanette will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warm smile brightened every room she entered, and her kind heart touched many lives. She leaves behind cherished memories that will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who loved her.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Jerry Douglas of the home; son, Jerry Douglas and wife Amanda of Pryor; daughters, Jeannie Robinson and husband Greg of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Jamie Greer of Pryor, and Joanna Murry and husband Bill of Pryor; brother, Mike Forehand and wife Clydia of Tulsa; sister, Sandy Nurse and husband Tony of Carson City, Nevada; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons; and one great granddaughter due any day as well as one great grandson due in October; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Velma Dean Forehand. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2023, in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stuart Henslee officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Jesse Greer, Jason Greer, Kobe Robinson, Cason Douglas, Kane Douglas, Bobby Long, Nick LaTurner, and Kyle Yates serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Shipman's Funeral Home.
