Jerry Wayne Rott, born on August 7, 1947, in Talala, Oklahoma, passed away on July 29, 2025, at his residence in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Jerry was united in marriage to Evelyn Hubble on January 24, 1969, in Pryor. Together they built a life filled with love and family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn Rott, as well as their children: sons Chad Rott of Chouteau, Oklahoma, and Brad Rott, along with his wife Amber, of Pryor, Oklahoma; and daughter Kami Swartwood, married to Daniel, of Haskell, Oklahoma. Jerry's legacy continues through his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply.
In his professional life, Jerry was known for his skills in carpentry and was actively engaged in ranching, taking great pride in checking on his cows. He found pleasure in simple joys, such as watching western films and NASCAR races. His enthusiasm for life was particularly evident in the time he devoted to his grandchildren, creating lasting memories and nurturing their spirits.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Kate Rott and his brother Buck Rott, who have welcomed him into eternity. He is also survived by his twin brother, Gary Rott, and his wife Diane, who reside in Houston, Texas.
Graveside services for Jerry will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 1, 2025, at Adair Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
