Jess "Dan" Pryor, a lifelong resident of Oklahoma, was born on May 19, 1960, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and passed away on June 8, 2026, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma surrounded by his family. He was known for his unwavering passion for the outdoors and motorsports, with hobbies and interests that spanned hunting, fishing, enjoying time at the racetrack, mud racing, mowing, and NASCAR.

Dan's life was marked by his strong connections to family and friends. He is survived by his daughters Cassie and her husband Cory Salyers of Locust Grove, OK, and Jessica Pryor of Sand Springs, OK, who both carry forward his legacy.  Dan was a devoted father and grandfather, leaving behind a large family including daughter in law Nikki Pryor and grandchildren Rylyn Saylers, Justin Pryor, Kaydyn Salyers, Addison Pryor, Allison Pryor, Jaxyyn Salyers, Hunter Pryor, Brielle Salyers, Hadlie Salyers, Aaliyah Pryor, Elias Urrey, and Millie Urrey, all of whom will remember him fondly.

He is also survived by his father, Howard Pryor of Sand Springs, OK, his stepfather, Pete Jamison and his siblings Perry Jamison of Sapulpa, OK, Doyle Pryor of Topeka, KS, Monty Pryor of Sand Springs, OK, Tonya Pryor of Catoosa, OK, and Peggy Woodward of Sand Springs, OK.

Jess "Dan" Pryor was preceded in death by his mother, Wanna (Gaines) Jamison, and his son, Cody Pryor, whose memories remain cherished by all who knew them.

Throughout his life, Dan was admired for his dedication to family and his enthusiasm for the activities that brought him joy. His presence will be deeply missed by those who loved him and those who had the privilege to know him personally.
